The Individualized Collective - Phase 3+

I dream of a world filled with people who’ve taken on as a mission the act of growing and developing themselves. A true collective of like minded seekers who have grown their individuality while simultaneously weaving themselves into complex social and cultural frameworks.

It’s a little complicated to explain just off the bat, but it goes something like this.

Imagine a community that strives to grow their collective power through unity, while making sure to not lose their individuality to the collective. Essentially, a group without herd mentality. It’s tricky.. but possible.

It’s so tricky in fact that I’m not even sure I can make much headway before I reach Phase 3, given that to form this literally worldwide, multi-national and multi-cultural collective I will need to do this for a living. A significant amount of travel, activism and collaboration will be required to give this vision form. I also won’t be able to achieve this on my own! Not even close.

Given how far away this project is from starting (7-10+ years), specific details are wholly subject to change but here’s the basics.

What can an educated and like minded collective achieve? The short answer is actually better if we reframe the question. What can’t an educated and like minded collective achieve? In truth, very little is outside of their scope.

To understand changes that could be mobilized, we need only take a look at our modernizing world.

• Politicians who don’t listen to the will of their people.

• Countries that don’t serve or protect its residents.

• Multinational corporations worth billions or trillions consumed by late stage capitalism (exponential exploitation) with no substantive oversight.

• A centralized internet relegated to a handful of websites/corporations, capable of and actively censoring divergent opinions and attempts at community building.

• Ever growing threats of climate disasters

  • Warming, cooling, hundreds of millions forced to relocate within several decades, flooding, increased occurrence natural disasters, ocean pollution destroying marine life and creating microplastic contamination & more & more & more!

• & so much more... It’s legitimately a terrifying time to be alive.

The threats are quite obvious. And although complex & costly, realistic solutions exist to nearly all of these problems!! What’s missing is a collective of organized voices acting together to bring about meaningful change before it’s legitimately too late to avoid most of the unnecessary suffering coming our way.

But similarly, we must be mindful to not fall prey to mob mentality and the like. Divergence of opinion in a respectful and constructive environment is possible, technically. It just takes integrity, an open mind and an ability to empathize with others.

On its own, this project seems.. odd. Not only odd but unrealistic, and almost without greater purpose. Getting a few people together to do political activism? Is that all? Actually, no. It’s far more layered and interwoven.

You must remember something about how I operate, and my projects are subject to the very same principles. Everything is interconnected. Other projects such as the Archive Wiki, the Academy and a few more actually weave themselves into this initiative.

The Academy trains your potential and sharpens your focus, the Wiki contains the information, and the Collective spreads the system. And that’s without mentioning smaller projects such as the 1% initiative and FAR larger concepts like The Millennium Initiative which also have an impact.

But I can’t stress this enough. The beginning of this project is almost a decade away from now. It’s going to change, a lot. The reason it’s hard to summarize is because the idea is barely formed, much less developed. All dreams aside, the Individualized Collective will be the foundation of a much larger movement seeking stability, development and recovery on all fronts, in all territories and for all people. Everywhere.

So, as previously mentioned this will be a Phase 3 project.

For those lacking the time, interest or motivation, here’s the TL;DR.

Phase 3 begins when I’m able to pursue this as my full time career, meaning I can make a living wage off of the support of the community and live to develop these ambitious visions into a working reality.

During phase 3, I will have the ability to spend my days developing these concepts. I’ll be able to jump on impromptu opportunities that require travel, odd hours or various lengthy time requirements that I simply could not fit into a standard 40 hour work week (not to mention the limited amount of vacation days I could take even assuming they aren’t refused) and much more. I think of it as freedom, being able to own my time and use it to its fullest extent!

That’s currently beyond me given that as of writing this I still find myself in Phase 1.

Phase 1 is about discovery, testing and the growth of my potential. I spend my weeks working a full time job, and between the time it takes to sleep and recover I’m also testing and developing methods to improve my ability to operate on this level. In that sense, Phase 1 is literally building me up so that I will be capable of entering Phase 2, where I’ll be working for several years to get to a place where I can make a living from this.

I’m just not there yet, and that’s okay! It’s a part of the process, but it doesn’t change that for now it’s for the future.
